Sept 9-10: Empowered Women's Series
An extrarodinary event featuring a variety of keynote presentations on business-focused topics, presented by a group of inspiring and empowering local professionals. In addition to my passion for chocolate, I've been an entrepreneur for over eight years and I'll be presenting "From Employee to Entrepreneur: Techniqes for Exceptional Success." Sept 11: D'vine Wines Exclusive Chocolate & Wine Pairing
Downtown Denver's own winemaker, D'vine Wines is the place to be when I host this all-things-chocolate & wine class. Sample chocolates from around the world while learning how chocolate is made from bean to bar and how to eat chocolate properly. Next we'll take D'Vine's wines made right their in the store (think blackberry Merlot, chocolate Port and more) and pair them with handmade Colorado chocolates designed to enhance the flavors in both. Sept 15: Health Benefits of Chocolate at the Denver Public Library / FREE!
There's never anything going on Monday night, which is why this particular Monday is the perfect opportunity to grab a few friends and head downtown to the Denver Public Library for an evening of chocolate & education. I'll be speaking about the health benefits of chocolate, how and why it helps the body, how much to eat, how to read the wrappers and which brands are the healthiest. Yes, part of the class includes eating chocolate, and there's homework too--surprisingly it involves chocolate. At the downtown library from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.
Sept 23: Chocolate & Wine Pairing Class
More chocolate & wine--the research never ends! Sample chocolates from around the world while learning how chocolate is made from bean to bar, what to look for when selecting chocolates and how to compare and contrast flavors. Next we'll pair four international wines with infused chocolates selected to bring our the flavors in both. A perfect intro to a Thursday night on the town. Sept 26: International Wine & Chocolate Pairing
Downtown Littleton chocolatier Chocolates by Mary Carol and I host this evening of entertainment and education. Class begins with an international pairing of chocolate from six different countries. Learn how to compare and contrast flavors, how chocolate is made from bean to bar and how to eat chocolate properly while discovering your favorite. Next, we'll pair four international wines with handmade chocolates infused with nuts, spices, dried fruit and oils designed to bring out the flavors in both chocolate & wine. 6:30 - 8:30 pm at 2629 W. October 10-12: Women's Living Expo
A DO NOT MISS event for all women! The Women's Living Expo is a 3-day event open to the public devoted to enriching women's lives. I'll be speaking about the health benefits of chocolate, sampling international chocolates and signing books and gift sets. Unlimiated information on fashion, beauty, home, fitness, moms--over 250 exhibitors, speakers and events! I'll be presenting at 5:30 pm on the 10th. Phil Long Expo Center; 1515 Auto Mall Loop, Colorado Springs.
Nov 2008: Cruising for Chocolate
It's cruising time again as I take to the high seas for a series of chocolate seminars for those who require a unique environment for optimal learning. This fall's adventure requires a trip to Sydney, Australia from Nov 1-10 with Royal Caribbean Cruises. More "tough" work for chocolate enthusiasts.
May 8 & 9, 2009: Colorado CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL
The FIRST ever Colorado Chocolate Festival was a huge success with over 5000 guests in attendance! Mark the calendar--same-time next year, we'll have more chocolate vendors than ever! Fun for everyone--events, parties, demos, free chocolate! This event is also a benefit for PBS. I'll be presenting throughout the show.
